Alces alces
MOOSE 3 are the largest land animals that roam the island
of Newfoundland. The photos on this page were all taken in Gros
Morne National Park. MOOSE 3 were introduced to the island portion of our
province during the early 1900s and now number over 100 000 animals. I
have other MOOSE 3 photos on my education site.
