Alder - alnus crispa
I have a small hill in my back yard that is
covered in alders. First when I moved into my home, this hill had no
plant life. It was mostly gravel with a few clumps of grass.
Alders started to grow and now I have many species of trees growing on the
hill including: birch, larch, fir, spruce, dogberry and poplar.
I have photographed the alders often and will soon have captured the
complete growth cycle throughout a full year on high quality digital
photographs.
