Holyrood has a reputation for being one of the prettiest and cleanest communities on the Avalon Peninsula.  Its beautiful harbour is home to a marina and many pleasure boats can be seen on the bay throughout the summer months. A short hike up George Cove Mountain Trail will give a beautiful view of the town and Conception Bay.
