COMMON  REDPOLL
Carduelis flammea

On March 18, 2005 I noticed a new species of bird around my bird feeder.  I have identified it as a Common Redpoll.  The males have bright red chest feathers. The female has the red patch on her head, but no red chest feathers.

If you require photos of Common Redpolls or other birds, please let me know. The images on this site have been cropped from larger images. If you require large images, please email me for originals.
